This mala is made to be used — held, moved through, returned to. The strand is composed of 108 camel bone cube beads, each about 8mm. Every face is hand-stamped with a dot pattern — four at the corners, one at the center — consistent yet subtly varied in depth and alignment. The bone carries a warm cream tone, dense in the hand. The cube shape gives each bead a more defined presence than a round form. At intervals, jade-green disc beads interrupt the sequence, adding a cool contrast against the bone. At the base, the guru bead assembly anchors the strand: a carved yak bone cylinder sits above a traditional dzi agate bead, followed by a flat wooden disc. Below, a hand-twisted silk tassel in red, burgundy, and gold introduces the only warmth of color. The mala can be worn long or doubled.
